The organic turmeric fields of Siva Organic Life cover 27 hectares of land adjacent to the mountains in Fenglin Township. The fields feature black warm soil, cultivated after three years of fallows and plantations. The vital black soil and grass produce organic tricolored turmeric. In August, 2020, another prestigious medical journal WILEY proposed that curcumin can be used as a new remedy to treat COVID-19. In 2018, it was awarded the second prize in the Flavorful Food Prize in Taipei Food Exhibition, held in Nangang, Taipei, and hosted by the Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan. In 2019, it was shortlisted as an exhibitor of Agricultural Technology Research Institute and won the golden and premium prizes in a souvenir contest in Hualien.
