The Most Unique and Conventional Cooking Methods

The story started with the key figure of the Gu’s - Lian-Gu. Born in 1949, as the oldest child of the Gu’s, Lian-Gu had been in charge of all the duties of the family since 12 years old. Taking care of her aging mother and siblings, Lian-Gu wasn't able to enjoy her life like other adolescents. Instead, she prepared meals for her family with love and care every day.

Passionate about cooking, after doing detailed research, she acquired the most unique and conventional cooking methods that can retain the original flavors of food. In other words, the flavors of her dishes can give people nostalgia.

Cook with Sincerity and Dedication

Lian-Gu often says: “Customers can feel our sincerity and dedication through our cooking.”

Because of her selfless spirit, Lian-Gu is well respected and loved by the Gu’s. In order to pass down Lian-Gu’s legacy and skills to the next generation, her nephews and nieces established Brunch Story in 2014.

The signature dishes of Brunch Story include Hakka abacus seeds, sambal sauce, and curry chicken, all of which employ traditional cooking techniques and therefore retain the old flavors. Insisting on her calling, the spirits and works of Lian-Gu will be sustained for generations.
