XO Sauce Stir-fried Turnip Cake
Turnip cake is a versatile ingredient that you can use for breakfast in the morning, snacks in the afternoon, or a meal at night. How useful! Besides frying turnip cake, you can also make a stir-fried dish with eggs or other ingredients you like, creating a turnip cake meal of your own style.
Instructions:
1. Dice some garlic, cut scallions into pieces, dice some wood mushroom, and cut some carrots into shreds. Put the cut ingredients aside.
2. Cut a turnip cake into thick slices. Cook the slices over medium heat until brown. Set them aside to cool down and cut them into small pieces.
3. Put oil into the pan. Add the shredded carrot for tempering. Add the wood mushroom and then stir-fry the ingredients.
4. Add a little soy sauce and chopped scallions. Stir-fry them until they become fragrant.
5. Add water or broth to adjust the moisture to your liking.
6. Add some Selected XO sauce and stir (feel free to add more sauce if you crave strong flavor.)
7. When the water or broth starts to boil, put the cooked turnip cake and stir-fry.
8. Lastly, add the garlic and white pepper powder for taste. Stir-fry for a second and the food is ready to be put on a plate.
Tips: before digging in, remember to add a teaspoon of salted egg yolk sauce so the dish will taste like Heaven!
